Celebrating 60 years of service to the Flat Rock and East Flat Rock Communities
To promote life safety and reduce suffering and property loss through public education and fire prevention. To mitigate the consequences of fire, accident, injury, illness, or disaster in the community. To recognize that every individual is valuable and to maximize each member’s potential. To reach into the future, never forgetting the past, those who served, and those who we serve.
We have two stations, our main station in East Flat Rock and our Sub-Station is in the Village of Flat Rock. Contact us below to schedule a tour of our station.
We are a combination department comprised of both paid and volunteer staff. Our main station is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Our service area is unique in that in contains numerous residential, commercial and industrial complexes, and even National Historic Landmarks.
If interested in becoming a volunteer, stop by our main station and fill out an application. We also have a Junior Firefighter program that gives teenagers (15-18 years old) the opportunity to learn the functions of firefighting.
Yes! We will gladly accept tax deductible donations with sincere gratitude. You can mail a check or stop by our station to do so. In the future we hope to have an option to donate online.
