We have two stations, our main station in East Flat Rock and our Sub-Station is in the Village of Flat Rock. Contact us below to schedule a tour of our station. 

Our Members


We are a combination department comprised of both paid and volunteer staff. Our main station is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.   

Our Community


 Our service area is unique in that in contains numerous residential, commercial and industrial complexes, and even National Historic Landmarks.  

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I become a volunteer?


If interested in becoming a volunteer, stop by our main station and fill out an application. We also have a Junior Firefighter program that gives teenagers (15-18 years old) the opportunity to learn the functions of firefighting.

Can I donate to your station?


Yes! We will gladly accept tax deductible donations with sincere gratitude. You can mail a check or stop by our station to do so. In the future we hope to have an option to donate online. 

How do I get a burn permit?


Burn permits are offered at our station or online by clicking the forest service picture above.
